No kidding. Until we figure out how they nulled our powers, though, we probably won't know what to expect. I mean, you can't just... remove mutant powers, right? It's genetic. So they've gotta be disabled.

[He's hoping. God is he ever hoping.]

Right. We just got to figure out how they did that. Maybe these walls just keep us from using them, like in juvie.

[Billy winces slightly at the reminder; right, Tommy's been through this before.]

Or... some kind of spell, like Doom. There's a lot of ways they could've done it.

[ Someone's armed with a... vacuum cleaner that looks like a skull? Weird weapon aside, this girl may be younger than you but she's clearly got her wits about her, something that Crona doesn't have. ]

You're going to get killed if you just stand there like that.

[bloodymadness]

[ Crona stiffens, an all-over-body shiver right from head to toe visible even from the girl's position. Oddly, the girl's strange armaments don't seem to faze Crona that much; seen stranger, perhaps. ]

Who... who are you?

[Hanna slowly nods, her eyes scanning over the woman once again. It does not take a hunter to know this woman is tired. Hanna herself is tired, but hadn't wanted to give in to the exhaustion. But now? Now she has an excuse.]

I would like that. Follow me, I know someplace good.

[And then she's hobbling along toward one of the buildings she squatted in earlier in the day. She's already set up a small camp there, with some blankets she's managed to find. It's not far from the area they're in now, just a block and a half away.]

Are you hurt? [She finally thinks to question that of the other person, and stops shuffling along to turn and really look at her.]

It's not far from here. We should hurry.

[ Marie wacks a nearby zombie with her strange vacuum. ]

If you aren't going to start being serious, then get behind me.

[ Crona flinches unconsciously at the rebuke, the blanket dismissal prying free uncomfortable memories. ]

I...

[ Crona's hand tightens on the long object sie holds, turning it against... it's a sword, thin as a rapier. ]

But I'm not supposed to kill anymore, not without a mission.

[Billy doesn't argue, but he can't think of much of a response, either. Yeah, it sucks. And yeah, they're pretty screwed like this. Complaining just isn't going to get them anywhere. They need, for once, a plan of action.

Now I wish Kate were here. Or Eli, or even Nate. They're better at this part.]

I think we should try to find more people. Join a group.

[ Fukawa's next to useless in the best of times, and being surrounded by a horde of starving zombies certainly doesn't change that. She's over in a corner, muttering to herself, clutching her head and trying to block it all out. ]

W... what the hell... walking corpses...

[ Lucas's shout does rouse her a bit... she even looks up and steps toward him, as if to help —

then a rotting arm punches its way through one of the windows, fresh blood and flesh clinging to its flailing fingers, and she darts back with a shriek. ]

Your new mission is to kill anything that is no longer living.

[ Marie has no idea if ordering Chrona will do anything but she figures it's worth a try. ]

[ In so many years of battle, Thor had become rather accustomed to being the one to lead. The one calling out orders when necessary. But in the fight against the chitauri, the Captain had more than proven himself to be a more than worthy leader. One that he trusted well enough to not question in the middle of a fight.

He fought on, smashing heads with impressive might. That was a lesson he had learned very early on. The only sure fire way to keep them from getting up again was to cave in their skulls. Anything else left a chance that they may still attack.

The zombies ahead of them were thinning out, but they were pressing in harder from all other sides. He fought on, following his last direction, awaiting the next. ]

[FINALLY getting some rest. Or at least, a time where they can get some rest. It looks like for the moment, the zombies have gone elsewhere. Leaving Marie and Patricia alone for the first time since... well, Peacock here destroyed her body.]

This is all like a really bad movie. [First thing she says, to lighten the mood.] Zombies an' all!
