[Steve's not stupid. As soon as something shinier comes along that suits Loki better he'll take it and leave them in the dust. The question is whether he should keep an eye on him so long as he has the opportunity. A yes, most likely.]

[She fusses with the thing that is where that thing he's holding used to be. She fusses with it for a good long time before looking over at him.] What? Oh, sir, be careful. That has to be held flat.

[Loki's head tilts, his attention still upon Thor's hands. His gaze flicks up to meet Thors, his own eyes cold and distant even has he bears a twisted hollow smile.]

Did you not pay heed to the information given to us? Do you not still carry with you the garb and markings of the son of Odin?

[His last clash with his brother had been vicious, striking Thor in the side with a small silver blade. He'd shed a tear, but still he was unsure what he was grieving.]

Exiled I may be cast out as I was but you remain the golden child of Asgard it seems.

[ buffy shoves arthur into some kind of back room and pulls the door shut as zombies try and assault them. it's dark, it's not pleasant, and it's certainly not jam-packed with weapons, but it's so far zombie free. she's just learned the hard way that she can't do exactly what she's used to being able to. again. ] So much for the slow lumber-y type of zombies. Or the ones that don't eat brains.

Nah, I was just gonna hang around, [ she dismisses as she moves to follow after him, ] wait for the zombies to descend. Maybe make some new friends!

[He glances down at his shield with a frown and offers another quick, furtive look around the woods before closing the distance between them.]

I'm not the only one attracting things.

[When he gets closer he notices the state Tony is in. He looks like a mess.]

What happened to you?

To make a team work seamlessly, you have to trust them. Be willing to sacrifice for them. Everything you do is about yourself. You're worse than Stark.

[Thankfully, Tony seems to be learning. Whether you can, he doesn't know. He can only give you so much of a chance here.]

You're going to have to earn my trust, Loki. It won't come easy.

[As he walks, he surveys the area.] Alright, so city limits is about 50 yards south. We can find supplies, but it also means a higher concentration of ... Well, you know.

[For each one of the dead Steve knocks away with his shield, another seems to take its place and what he wouldn't give to have his full strength back. Not that he understands what's wrong with him to begin with, is the serum wearing off or does it have something to do with waking up in this place without knowing how or why.

He throws his shield again, straight and true, knocking down two of the creatures before rebounding to him. Steve takes another step back, looking for a way out and not finding one. This is going to get messy if he backs himself further into this corner.]

[ He had paid attention to only as much as necessary. To the scant few details that applied to him, the way this realm worked. Yes it gave some basics, but it still did nothing that change his mind on this being a form of exile.

Thor came to a stop a few paces away from Loki. Looking as though he had recently suffered a rather fierce kick to the stomach. Those words wounded him. But unlike Loki, he had never seen them as terribly different. Even now. Which was why it pained him that his brother had become so lost to him. And that he seemed so blind to reason. ]

What other reason could there be, if we are both without our power?

[Tony, at first, just offers a glare in Steve's direction, herding him fully into the 'house' and closing the door behind them.]

Why did you get your suit and I didn't? [Because that is clearly the most important thing. Despite his exhaustion and overall raggedness, he looks positively peeved by this.] This place hates me.

[ Thor was having his own troubles, keeping the hoards off of him. He had first thought their numbers to be an amusing challenge. But lacking in strength and power as he was, they were soon becoming too much for him. And that troubled him deeply. He could handle an army of frost giants on his own, with his bare hands. These human sized creatures should not pose such a threat!

He caught a glimpse of Rogers through the fray, saw how much trouble he was having as well. He knew the man to be more than strong enough to stand on his own, he'd seen him against the army of invaders. But there was no way he could keep all those off on his own. Seeing a trio coming up behind the soldier, he charged.

He mowed down several zombies in his path, planting his fist right in the face of the middle one. Another was knocked down in the process. But the third remained standing. It was too close to avoid. And before Thor could pull back, it had its teeth in his unarmored forearm.

Thinking little of it, he pulled it away and crushed its skull between his hands. ]

We need to get out of here!

You think that I cannot work as a part of a team? There are those I have fought beside for three fold the years of your country if not more.

[But he makes no arguments about his primary concern. A ghost of a smile shadows Loki's lips.]

I have no illusions about that.

The whole idea of being fictional is quite a bit more foreign to Jaime Lannister, and the entire thing, has to put it simply, rolled in one ear and out another. He stayed long enough to understand what he was being told, but even if it was true, what kind of person would make up a story about a sisterfucker who gets hated by the whole realm for the only nice thing he's ever really done. There are better stories to tell, right.

So he's just kind of ignored the whole thing as extremely ridiculous bullshit. ]

Charming, perhaps. [ Just kind of looking at her with an amused expression, raising an eyebrow slightly. ] But not a prince.

[ But he knows he's a handsome devil, so you're forgiven for that. ]

[The pain on Thor's face was a balm to his indignation in being summoned to this place and put to use. The hurt he'd nurtured into a powerful and blazing fire helped him smile, even if a distant part of him ached.]

Not without, just weakened. [His fingers snap summoning a brief and brilliant flare of green flame. It vanishes quickly and Loki's lips twist into a frown.]

Use your head, Thor. We are here to survive for the benefit of others.
