[ Thor complies without word. The wound in his arm was shallow and did nothing to slow him down. And even if he was without his hammer, he did not seemed dragged down in the least.

His fist plowed into the face of the nearest one. The next was taken out by grabbing its rotted shirt and slamming his forehead into its face. He swung the thing hard, knocking two more down. But they were still alive. His boot came down hard on one, his fist driving hard into the head of the other.

He glanced back to make sure Steve was still with him before slamming his fist into the midsection of another. He slammed its head down onto his knee with enough force to split its skull and drop it to the ground. ]

[He is following right behind Thor, bashing these things out of the way with a mix of the shield and his fist. In all honesty, he prefers to hit them with the shield, just so their blood and rotting fluids don't get on his uniform.

Steve uses the edge of his shield to slice at the necks of the creatures that he passes, sending them staggering back and in some cases it's hard enough to knock the head clean off. So far it seems to be the most of effective way of disabling them.]

[ In so many years of battle, Thor had become rather accustomed to being the one to lead. The one calling out orders when necessary. But in the fight against the chitauri, the Captain had more than proven himself to be a more than worthy leader. One that he trusted well enough to not question in the middle of a fight.

He fought on, smashing heads with impressive might. That was a lesson he had learned very early on. The only sure fire way to keep them from getting up again was to cave in their skulls. Anything else left a chance that they may still attack.

The zombies ahead of them were thinning out, but they were pressing in harder from all other sides. He fought on, following his last direction, awaiting the next. ]
