If a bite could change you or I, does that mean these were all once people? Were they bitten, as well?

They were definitely once people. But they were already dead. What we're fighting isn't them anymore, and they can't be brought back. Just… y'know.
[Turns his eyes back to the corpse under his feet. The arrow he'd just pulled out of it, he sticks back in his quiver.]

[ Even with the softer tone, these words did not comfort Thor. If they were already dead, it meant they had gone on to their reward. These were just empty shells, re-animated with a simple purpose. But it did not change the fact that they had once been people.
It was not a thought he wanted to dwell upon, as their attacks were far too relentless to ignore. He would be forced to kill any more that got near enough, especially if a simple bite could have him joining their ranks. So he forced himself to focus on something else. ]

Perhaps slightly more, I am not entirely certain. And for that, I fear I may not be able to continue in such a manner for much longer.
[ Now that he had come to a full stop, he was feeling the weariness. The exhaustion of so many battles. Of struggling with the reasons for being here. ]
