[Castiel is relieved that Sam doesn't appear too hurt. Well, he doesn't appear bit. That's the most important thing here. He followed Sam into the deserted room, looking around to make sure they weren't followed by the undead.]

No, I just arrived. [Pause.] Have you been here long?

[upstairsbrain]

[Sam seizes the opportunity to take a break, inhaling gulps of air, looking suddenly winded. He looks over at Castiel, pausing a moment before shaking his head.]

No, I... not too long. A few hours, I guess.

[With a final, heavy exhale, he straightens up again.]

What about you?

[Castiel watches Sam for a moment.]

I believe it has been the same length of time.

[Pause. Castiel reaches forward and touches his fingers to Sam's forehead. There is some healing, but it's minimal. He frowns.]

[upstairsbrain]

[The healing helps, and Sam inclines his head gratefully.] Thanks.

[Then, he peaks carefully out of the room, to assure that there aren't any zombies nearby. With a sigh, he turns back to the angel.]

You haven't seen Dean, have you?

[Castiel pulls his hand away, still confused. He keeps his doubts to himself though.]

No.

[Castiel checks for zombies himself as well. He can't really feel them, so he'd rather not be caught off guard.]

[Sam nods slowly, looking more and more disheartened. This was not going well at all. Between the zombies themselves, his brother's disappearance, Cas not being able to detect the presence of the undead... well, wing and a prayer, right? Almost literally, too.]

Alright. ... We'll just have to keep moving, then.

[Castiel doesn't like it either. Muted powers and walking dead with no sign of Dean? It bothered him quite a bit. His fingers tighten around his angel blade.]
