[ Those words were enough to ease at least a little of his worry. If no more because he honestly wanted to be able to trust his brother again. ]

You have always been known for your tricks. And your silver tongue. A talented liar, yes. But you were also once honorable and trustworthy.

If survival is your wish, and you say you speak the truth, I will believe your word.

[ He knew he shouldn't, that he needed to remember what vicious lies his brother had told. Remember the destroyer sent to earth. But he'd forgiven his brother that, and after such desperation in this place, the hope that his brother might not be so far out of his reach was too much to resist. ]

[He seems to pause, considering before nodding slowly. He didn't care for his 'brothers' love or hope for him, just for Thor's strength and ability in a battle. For the familiar sense of knowing there was someone strong and able at his back.

Until he has no use for Thor.]

Then let us leave. Shelter is needed and supplies.

[ Not having his misplaced trust rewarded with violence or anger only reinforced it. He saw it having made the right choice. A step in the right direction. An affirmation that he was not wrong about how far gone his brother was--that it may not be so difficult to reach him.

He gave a nod to Loki's suggestion to leave. ]

Should you give others reason to trust you, I will not remain the only one.

[That earns him a dismissive snort and Loki turns to walk away, towards where he thought he saw buildings.]

No more of that. We have bigger concerns.

[ Thor follows at his brother's side, as though all the events of the past year and ceased to be. ]

Yes, of course. But where will we find such things? I have seen little that could be of any use to us.

[ Okay, so he was too angry and depressed and too busy smashing zombie heads to pay much attention to anything. ]

I have seen dwellings in the distance.

[He points and through the brush, there lies the tell tale signs of buildings. Loki's thoughts was upon what options they had, how long he wagered they could go without supplies. It was a grim thought.

He gazed at Thor's arms and wondered.]

[ Thor just gave a mild nod, and said nothing. His thoughts were on similar topics. The idea that he was not alone after all was enough to sober him up. The rage of battle was fading, and for the first time its absence did not leave him in crushing depression. This left his mind clear enough to see the reality before them. He actually needed to do something about survival. In such a state, he would grow weak in far less time than he would like.

He glanced over at Loki to say something, but he caught the way that his brother was staring at his bicep. He lifted his arm to look at himself, rather perplexed by the look. ]
