[ being rescued is never something buffy likes.

in fact, she avoids it at all costs, and not even intentionally -- it's just not how things happen. she's usually the one doing the saving.

unfortunately, she's just made the nearly fatal mistake of assuming she was still at full slayer strength. discovering she's not ... well, it throws quite the kink in things. when the redhead shouts down to her, buffy looks up, frazzled, sweating and heart pounding, but not scared.

she takes a step back, jumps up onto a crate edge and then springs up to grab the offered hand. okay. not entirely useless. not cruciamentum levels of useless. she can do this.

she works with natasha to hoist herself up onto the roof, eventually grabbing onto the ledge and rolling over onto it, breathing hard. she doesn't take time to rest, though, and gets to her feet. ] Weapons? [ it's optimistic, she knows that, but she has to ask. ]

[ Natasha doesn't quite see it as a rescue so much as teamwork. Which is why when the girl's up she stands, but doesn't keep moving straight away, leave her just this side of safe and continue on her lonesome. ]

[ Also her bites, but she's saving those for a special occasion — who knows how long the power's gonna last out here. Still, she tips her head at Buffy, and then turns, starting to climb further up the roof, hoping the height will help her to get her bearings. ]
