[Foxface stumbles to a stop just behind Peeta, gaping at him.]

You idiot!

[It's dead, it's teeth are bloody, and it's not stopping. Foxface glances over at the open window - the glass is broken, not gone, but she thinks she can just squeeze through the hole under the boards...

Foxface goes to work trying to tear the boards away as well, but she's not as strong as Peeta, not by half, and she struggles even with the rotted, splintered wood. But she goes at it with the force of a desperate animal.]

[Peeta swings at air, finally just throws the board with all his strength before he's behind her, pulling at more boards to make room.]

Hurry! Get inside and hide!

[Foxface dives through the open window like a fish into the water, scrambling aside immediately to make room for Peeta to follow. She never took allies, in the arena, but this...this is different. This is insane. He's stronger than her, and she needs that.]

Come on!

[unkneaded]

[Peeta looks back over his shoulder, hesitant. He could buy her more time if there was just one. But he knows that the others wouldn't just keep coming for her, not even slowing down.]

[He dives in after her, landing hard on his shoulder but quickly on his feet again.]

We have to get out of their sights!

[There's one door out of the room - broken, thankfully, the door hanging off one hinge and the knob ripped out. Whatever did so might still be lurking around, of course, but a zombie punches straight through what's left of the window, its rotting flesh lacerated by the glass, and rips out one of the boards blocking its way just as easily as Peeta had. It's companion soon joins it in clearing a path.

Foxface pauses just long enough to kick open the door, and a path for Peeta. She looks back at him to make sure he still intends to follow, and then darts out into the rest of the house to search for another way out.]
