Worth something, if she could find anyone to sell to.]

[Hanna is injured. Not from one of the undead creatures that are attacking the small city they're trapped in, but from her own ignorance and recklessness. She's used to being forced to survive in extreme circumstances, in various environments, but during her training growing up she's always been allowed time to rest. Here, she doesn't get that luxury and it leaves her judgment calls not quite up to par.

So a jump down from a roof doesn't end in a proper tuck and roll, and her leg ends up scraping along the blade of the machete she is carrying. She refuses to cry out in pain and only gives out a soft gasp of air, and glances up to look around her.

She's surprised to see a woman there, and despite the pain in her leg she grips hold of the machete and takes on a defensive pose. From behind her, she can hear the telltale sounds of the undead closing in upon them. Her eyes widen, and she attempts to scramble up to her feet.]

Sometimes there is no shame in running. [This is said for her own benefit, but doesn't think it will hurt the stranger to hear it as well.]

[ A girl with pigtails and two prosthetic legs runs up to Zoey... in fact she's running a bit too fast. Emi isn't paying attention to where she's going again, and she's about to bump noggins with Zoey. ]

[For the first time since waking up here, Hanna is allowing herself to take cover and rest. She feels weak and useless doing so while she still is trapped and still has no idea how to get out, but she knows that her body will give out if she doesn't rest. She slips into a building and presses her body up against the first wall she reaches, sliding down until she's sitting.

She wants to cry. The past week of her life has been nothing but turmoil and filled with revelations she doesn't want to process and understand, and now this is happening. None of this makes sense, particularly the part where she is supposed to be fictional.

She feels her emotions beginning to get the best of her, and she thumps her head back against the wall. Several deep breaths are taken in and out, and it is then that she allows herself to look around the room.

And she isn't alone. There's a boy in the room with her. She sits up straight, eyes going wide as she stares over at him. He doesn't look as if he'll harm her, but she knows that appearances can be deceiving.]

If you were wanting privacy, you should go elsewhere. [Because now that she's sitting down, she isn't sure that she can get back up and move.]

This guy isn't running. This guy is clad in black platemail, and he's swinging a sword as tall as he is around to cut down three, four zombies at a time. Good thing this invasion seems to be pretty huge, Guts was kind of getting bored sitting around inside where it's quiet and absolutely nothing ever happens.]

So. Raise your hand if you miss zombie masters and demon masks. [ 'cause these are sure the 'common misconception' kind that eat flesh and brains. ]

[Sometimes, one can get an early warning of their environment just by paying attention.

Foxface goes racing past Peeta at top speed, finally stumbling to a stop at the end of the block to look around.

Her eyes go wide, and she sprints back the way she'd come, as a zombie comes lumbering around the corner, only to find herself confronted with the one she'd been fleeing in the first place.

...which, of course, leaves her stumbling backwards towards Peeta, as the two zombies advance down the street in a pincer fashion.]

[Hanna comes skidding around a corner, clipping the entire left side of her body on the edge of the building. It's her left hand that has hold of a machete and the force of the hit causes her to drop the weapon, and she is left scrambling to swoop it up and get moving once again. She's attempting to escape a particularly large and fast group of the undead, not because she's afraid but because she's attempting to find a better vantage point.

As she makes her way into a more open area of the street, she takes notice that she is not alone, and gives out a sigh. Yet another person she's run into here. She doesn't feel the need to protect any of these people, but she does understand human interaction well enough now to know a warning is generally desired for those that could be considered normal or innocent.

And this woman standing here most definitely appears to be innocent and normal.]

Do not go that way. [Her German accent comes out thicker than she intends as she rushes out the words, and she spins around to face the approaching crowd of enemies.]

Run. Run and don't look back. Go.

[When you run out of bullets, sometimes all you have left is an axe.

And then there are large women with greatswords.

Brienne is clearly strong enough that, with her blade, she probably has the capacity to carve herself a more permanent path out of the melee of six zombies than Giles is. Sometimes a sharp blow with his scavenged hatchet will ruin the zombie's brains and put them down, but sometimes it won't. Really, his main advantage here is experience: experience with zombies, experience with hatchets, experience in knowing just when to duck and weave.

And, in so doing, he'll eventually find himself close enough to Brienne to give her a bit of advice:] Decapitation. Only way.

[ The alley's a dead end. Natasha pushes up the lid of the heavy dumpster, straining with it, sweating and hating whatever had taken her strength away. She swings a leg up and over the side, and rolls through the gap, careful not to let the lid bang as she lowers it so as not to track the attention of the zombies that had been hot on her tail. ]

[ It's a breather, even if with this stink breathing isn't the nicest of activities. She allows herself the luxury of sitting down — almost collapsing, really — only to land on the familiar feel of a warm human body. ]

What the hell?

[ Natasha scrabbles around in the dark, trying to work out if it's alive, dead... or undead. She had better not have just trapped herself in here with a zombie. ]

[Hanna is perched on the edge of a rooftop, observing the area around her. She's seen quite a few people in her short time here, some she allows herself to speak to, others she simply is content to observe. After hours of running and fighting her way through hoards of creatures she has never seen before, she is winded and needs to rest, but can't allow herself to do so without the pretense of doing something useful to survival.

So perching and observing it is, at least for now.

She takes notice of a woman on the street down below, and watches her with curiosity. She glances up to take notice of a flock of the undead creatures a block away, and gives a soft whistle to draw the woman's attention in to her.]
